Gennady Golovkin’s return to the ring is now official, as he’ll take on Dominic Wade at The Forum on April 23 in Inglewood, Calif.
“I’m happy to fight again at the Forum in front of my fans and friends in Los Angeles. Dominic Wade is a very hungry and skilled middleweight who is undefeated and will be another big test for me,” said Golovkin. “Thanks to my Coach Abel Sanchez, my promoter Tom Loeffler, my team, HBO and the Forum for another opportunity to defend my middleweight titles.”
Golovkin (34-0, 31 KOs) is coming off a stoppage win over David Lemieux in October and last fought at The Forum last May with a knockout of Willie Monroe.
Tickets, priced at $400, $300, $200, $100, $60 and $30, will go on sale on February 16.
HBO will televise the fight, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
